The Kwaebibirem District has contributed immensely in bringing the nation this far. It is my privilege to formally welcome you to the District which is endowed with both natural and human resources.
It boasts of arable land for the cultivation of cash crops like oil palm and citrus as well as food crops like plantain, cassava, cocoyam among others.

The Kwaebibirem district is one of the 21 districts in the Eastern Region, with Kade as its capital. The district, which has a land area of about 12.30 km² (472.4 sq miles), was carved out of the then West Akyem District in 1988 as a result of the Government’s decentralization policy.

The Kwaebibirem District is located in the south-western corner of the Eastern Region of Ghana, between atitudes 1 degree O’W and O degree 35.’E and Longitudes 6 degrees 22’N and 5 degrees 75’S.

On the West, it is bounded by the Birim North District, on the North East by Atiwa and on the East by East Akim Municipal, on the south East by the South East by Suhum Kraboa Coaltar District, to the South by West Akim Municipal, and on the South-west by the Birim South District. The District has a surface area of about 1230 square kilometers.
